Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Proprietor Of Mobile Pet Salon In Hillsborough

James Taylor has expressed concern about what happened to his 5-pound dog JUJU last weekend. Taylor said that after Jujur was bitten by a dog, the groomer taped his mouth shut. The result? A bloody, distressed dog.

Taylor explained, "My pet was clearly distressed. What I initially believed was a mask turned out be tape. Jujur’s paws appeared to be red and inflicted with injuries. The toenails had been cut too near to the paw which probably triggered his biting response."

Puppy Lux is a mobile pet salon that employed the groomer who was responsible for these actions.

James immediately took Juju to the veterinarian for urgent medical attention. Having joined numerous other accusers of animal abuse, James accused Puppy-Lux. San Mateo initiated an investigation for possible animal abuse.

James described the injuries he observed, stating, "I noticed wounds near the joints, around the neck, and in the genital area. These cuts were animal abuse day so bad that they bled."

Jack Smithr, a customer of Puppy Lux, posted a review on Yelp, detailing how his pets were returned to him injured or unwell. One customer recorded a Snapchat video of a dog that appeared to be in pain. The groomer was said to have forced a napkin inside the dog's ears.

In addition to the damning Yelp reviews, Puppy Lux wants customers to be aware of what the groomer told him, as someone they had entrusted with their pets' well-being. James stated, "Jonny informed to me that the use of tape to close the mouth is acceptable and normal. He claims it is preferred to using a mute, which is harmful to dogs. He also stated that he personally applies this method to his own dog."

Fox contacted Puppy Lux, who answered the phone and handed it to a woman claiming that they were investigating allegations. When asked about Puppy, she immediately said that it was an independent entity, before abruptly terminating the call.
